Dear God,
It is a good thing I had a PT session scheduled with Jen today. It would be really easy to get lazy now that I am back home and not out walking and exploring a city this week. But two hours with Jen is keeping me going on the right path that I recommitted to before leaving on vacation August 20. My walking report from my pedometer follows:

Dear God,
Today is the end of the Savannah vacation. Departed hotel about 10am. One stop on way out of town at Polk’s Fresh Market (logo Y’all Stop In!). Their claim to history – opened in 1930’s in “Old City Market” and been around ever since (they note that Georgia was the first state to create a Department of Agriculture in 1874).
The drive home (with a stop to drop Vikki) was uneventful (just the way I like a long drive – uneventful!) except for the deluge of rain on the final …

Dear God,
It was so great to see my brother Tim today! I am so glad he decided to take a day away from his vacation at Hilton Head to come see me in Savannah. Still too short a visit but better than none at all!
We did the book tour – Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil  (at noontime) — and it was very interesting to see and hear all about the history associated with the book and the film. I have read the book but not yet seen …

Feast Day!

Dear God,
The day started on an ominous note. Big blow out in hotel room with V. Same problem as our first night. Poor communication. I have my way. She has hers. I am single and used to a very private, quiet time in mornings. She is married and has always had a partner in her life (marriage #4 currently). At least it cleared the air, and we made proper amends and started over. Starting over is always a good thing and can be done at any time of the day.
First …

Dear God,
What would the world be like without friends? And, so many varieties too!! Barbara and Sheila arrived last night and – much later than they had planned – about 11pm – and we also began the day with them on a late note not getting out for our trolley tour until noon. But whatever………we want to have fun and putting expectations and schedules aside lends itself to fun more so than being rigid.
For me and Vikki, the tour covered much of the same territory as we had covered on …
