Prayingwithmyfingers.com came about (pun intended), on May 29, 2009, when I felt totally disconnected from myself and my prayer life.  My not-so-daily practice was based on the use of Centering Prayer  (see http://www.contemplativeoutreach.org ) which is a wonderful and beneficial way to pray. But, it is not supposed to replace all other ways to pray and I (me being me) had been trying to use centering prayer as the only way. Consequently, I became “out of balance” in my prayer life.  So on that day, I began praying with my fingers.  Writing.  Plain and simple.  Saying exactly what I think and feel to God.  This is entitled Good Morning, God and will be a daily prayer posting.

In only ten short days, I am experiencing amazing transformation. My creative life is expanding by leaps and bounds and my joy and gratitude to God knows no bounds.  Consequently, I have decided to use this site for any and all of my personal reflection and creative writing.  I am a graduate from Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, Fl, and graduated 4.0 at the top of my class with a B.A. in Creative Writing.  Nonetheless, I have never published any of writing prior to this web/blog site.

The purpose of the web site is to allow myself to model honesty and openness with God  as my path to understanding myself and connecting with God and others.  Rather like a “reality” show without the unreality of script and cameras.  My hope is that others may find healing, help, ideas, inspiration and connection with the God of their understanding along the way.  Feel free to jump in and express yourself, dialogue, ask questions and find your own creative expression.  Write yourself free!  Travel with me on my path to creating a life that I am visioning, dreaming into reality (because it already exists in my mind!)  Travel with me on the road to the Oprah show.  I write this so when it happens you will know I said it, I believe it.  I will see it!

Very special thanks to the amazing and talented Michael who offered to help me and followed through in creating this site.  He is teaching me the IT basics of how to put my words out into to the Universe to land where they may.
