The Sunday packing for Tallahassee proved to be more of a challenge than I anticipated.  I have been so busy trying to get back to my independent, controlling self that I failed to take help that was offered at different points by different friends and now I see it could have all worked better if only I had been willing to allow myself to receive more help from others.

Again today I discover how much energy I am lacking.  I am prohibited from “heavy lifting,” and all I have been doing is laundry and trying to tidy up the house before leaving for Tallahassee.  Apparently, this is still a little bit too much because by late afternoon I felt as if a tiny limb of sorts was pushing in my abdomen….similar to the baby foot or hand during pregnancy.  I still have to do the travel packing and get all that in the car.  These simply things feel …

Dear God,
I am experiencing some kind of post-surgery sluggishness.  Although I was up by 8am, it took me the full two hours to get dressed and out the door to the 10am meeting with Workforce Development.  After the meeting, I went to Walgreens to find cough medicine as my chest cold is hanging on for dear life.  The between meetings hour and half was topped off with McDonalds lunch in Sarasota county parking lot.  Then 4+ hours of listening to the annual parade of government officials and other seekers of …

Dear God,
Finally a morning where I slept until I woke up fully rested.  Then it was time to get the puppies up and out and say goodbye to Vikki.  Afterward I was on the computer til almost lunchtime.  Lunch was leftover pizza from Olive Garden of yesterday’s lunch.  Then!   Naptime!  Me and the puppies sacked out all afternoon.   I don’t know why I was so fatigued today.  Perhaps too active yesterday.  
Tomorrow is another full work day and hopefully, I am back full-time as of tomorrow.  Local delegation …

Dear God,
First day back at the office post-surgery.  Lots to catch up on.  Dropped puppies off for first official puppy grooming.  Only worked half day and was definitely tried afterward.  Interesting how much energy healing takes.  Not a lot left over for other things.
“God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him.” (her).  1 John 4:16  This is a beautiful Bible verse, and I have most definitely been the beneficiary of this kind of love over the past week or so.  Family and friends …
